Jonathan Szarke  Chef-Owner

    Jon grew up in Perham, Minnesota, which is similar in size to Hertford.  He began cooking in the neighboring town of Detroit Lakes at the local Country Club.  After just one season, he knew that cooking would become his career, and he began his education at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Program in Minneapolis-St. Paul.  As part of his schooling, he completed an internship at the Restaurant Im Schiffchen, in Dusseldorf, Germany.  Upon his return to the States, he began working as a Cook at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Minneapolis, where he was soon promoted to Executive Sous Chef.  In 2007, Jon was recruited to Connecticut by the Hartford/Windsor Marriott Hotel.  While in Connecticut, Jon also served as an Executive Chef for Compass Group North America, and most recently, as Chef De Cuisine at Trattoria Da Lepri.  Jon relocated to North Carolina in 2014 to be closer to his family in Youngsville, and to open Patricia's Grille, which is named after his late Mother.

    In his spare time, Jon enjoys kayaking, hiking, bicycling and vegetable gardening.  He also loves to travel and has visited thirty-eight U.S. states, 2 U.S. Virgin Islands and 13 Countries.

Frank Sims  Lead Server 

    Frank grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  He relocated to Elizabeth City from Forth Myers, Florida just days before joining the team at Patricia's Grille.  He has family in Little Washington.  Frank is a true Hospitality Professional, and is quick to serve our guests with a smile.  He has had tenure at serveral Fine Dining establishments, including On The Waterfront and Fishermans Wharf Seafood Restaurants, as well as the Norfolk Airport Hilton Hotel.  He also has a strong Sales and Marketing Background.

    On his days off, Frank enjoys watching films, bowling strikes and clearing pool tables.
